Over 40 species of mammals can be found in the park including moose, white-tailed deer, bear, wolf, fox, beaver, hare and over 150 species of birds including Spruce Grouse and Ruffed Grouse.

The southern entrance of the wildlife reserve is located 275 km from Montréal by Route 117 and 180 km from Ottawa by Route 105.
